Re: Show your Star Trek props/replicas thread!

Is that one of nicks dads hypos?

Just started playing around with my dstines scanner again, I must have went through a box of batteries when I first got it! :lol

Actually it was FXArtist here on RPF. Even makes a little hiss noise if you run the plunger fast enough.

Re: Show your Star Trek props/replicas thread!

Miscellaneous equipment - I built the comm station and the Universal Translators (trying two different paint methods, both still need a couple of final touches); the communicator on the left was bought at a con many years ago, and the remainder are Art Asylum and/or Diamond Select toys:

Type I phasers - the two in the middle were two different attempts to scratchbuild traditional hero phasers (made blanks out of Sculpey, rotocast them in resin, cut them up, added details etc.); the rest I modeled and 3D printed:

Two prototype Phaser II bodies (got a third one smoothed and in the process of being painted, but it's all in pieces):

And a quarter-scale Nomad:

Re: Show your Star Trek props/replicas thread!

I still have my two D Stines communicator kits (plus parts to retrofit my other replicas), and a John Long phaser 1 kit with blue jewel, I need to find someone to build them for me one of these days.... :p

Love my SD Studios Universal Translator. A point of humble pride for me was pressing Steve to find someone to build some single channel organ circuits with mic in them, so respond to voices. I have a video on my YT channel demonstrating. It's fantastic. Also funny when I put it next to my SD Studios/Karl Tate HAL-9000 with the voice-activate speech module turned on. :p

Oh, and that SD Studios "The Cage" phaser ... if or when I have to sell off some of these, that and the matching communicator will be the hardest to part with.

I need to take pics again ... Seems I stopped at some point and only took pics for YourProps.com. Working TNG PADD, First Contact medical tricorder with scanner, D Stines early TNG medical scanner....
