The Proton Pack no one wants: The Universal Studios Extreme Pack

It's been a while since I've done anything with this. I think I'll abandon my plan of vacuuforming my own shell and instead just use this Studio Creations shell that I had sitting around. If anything, it's way better looking than the shell used on the actual Universal pack. It will be a time saver though.

Here's most of the pieces mocked up on a Studio Creations shell.

More daily progress - attached the wiring and epoxied, bolted, or riveted every attachment on. After this, the motherboard is the next major piece needed.

I finished up the Proton Pack portion of this project this weekend. I had some fun with the labels, since they're unreadable in the original reference pic and the pack itself was kind of made as jokey fun. I also took some artistic liberty by adding some red button reflectors on the side of the crank box, and adding that big caution stripe along the sync generator. Overall I'm happy with it, I was kind of iffy about using the Studio Creations shell at first. It's a great shell, but wouldn't be my first choice for use in a replica pack. It seems about 10% smaller than the other proton packs, but the price is good and it's perfect for fun builds like this.

Next I need to start on the proton pistols!

Thanks for looking!
