G1 Bumblebee toy transformable costume: Ideas on how to tuck in rear wheels?

Hello,

I'm starting design work on a transformable costume, and G1 Bumblebee makes the most sense, and the toy version out of practicality. (the cartoon version's wheels disappear in robot mode)

This is to be my first run at a transformable costume. I've made two transformer costumes before: G1 Optimus Prime toy 9.1 scale http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y470/Martaxus/MainPose_zps0079f72e.jpg and G1 Megatron cartoon: http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y470/Martaxus/Cropped_zps07877f05.jpg. I still need to learn proper finishing methods, but otherwise have quite enjoyed the results.

I'm starting my designs based on the original Bumblebee toy: examples of Robot http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y470/Martaxus/Robot 2_zpsubg2lxfq.jpg & car http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y470/Martaxus/Car 2_zpslpa8ksgc.jpg.

I've an idea of how to bring the legs in effectively as well as how to carry the wheels. My shoulders will be slightly higher than the toy.

First major request for ideas/method: How to tuck in the rear wheels when changing from robot to car?

My first thought is to build the wheels as hollow, that could be pulled in/onto the arm to create the effect. (car wouldn't be supported by the wheels)

Any suggestions?
