One-Stop 11' TOS Enterprise Reference Thread: NCC-1701, No Bloody A...

I'm in complete agreement. If you don't agree with how he restored the Enterprise, thats up to you. But no need to insult the man. I'm happy to call him a friend.

I believe he was instrumental in the STC or STNV construction and propping, but I forget which. Can't remember if I saw a photo of him with Vic Mignogna or James Cawley. But either way it's damn fine work.

Based on extensive research of the newly restored TOS Enterprise model and also comments from Gary Kerr, I have made a color guide for painting the ship. I did views with shading, and also just color so that the pure colors can be seen. Sometimes lighting/shading tricks you into thinking colors are different than they are.
I didn't include actual paint number callouts because we all use different brands. However, this will give you a good idea where to start from if you are trying to figure out what color everything is.

BE SURE TO RIGHT-CLICK AND "OPEN IMAGE IN NEW TAB" TO SEE IMAGES AT FULL RESOLUTION.

Beautiful Work!

Just one thing ;)
Is the Phaser turret white with rust dirtying?
Or is it just the light?

Went and saw the lovely lady this morning. Excellent work all around!

EDIT: I almost forgot. One of the onlookers who was standing right next to me told his buddy "Ed Miarecki burn in hell". I turned to him and said "Let me guess. The original restoration guy?" "Yep" Funny how you learn the name of the artist who did a pretty terrible job on the model.

Awesome pic.
Talk about separated at birth!

I'm heading out to see the Enterprise probably for the last time on this trip. Any photo requests?

The bottom of the engineering section /secondary hull if it can be done, I don't think we have seen good pics of all the fancy paintwork there yet of all the geometric shapes. And the plaques, I would like
to read what they wrote about her. Thanks so much.

It's definitely a challenge to get the belly art, since the model is very low in the display case. A full-on view is impossible. However, as sacrifices go, I'll take it. :)

A photo of the reverse (port) side of the intercoolers (see image below) would be nice.

Tried my best to take these shots with the camera I had on me at the time. I'm sorry if the quality is too low to be useful. I even asked one guy to shine his phone light through the glass on one of the photos. I also took pictures of both nacelles just incase. Hope some of these help.

And sorry I wasn't able to shoot any of the underbelly for you CessnaDriver. I was there till 11:30 but I'll see if I can make it over there again tomorrow for ya. Maybe my sister has a better camera lying around that I could make those shots (And the ones above if they're not usable) possible.

Thanks it's looking like it's a tough shot anyways.
I wonder if the museum would get bent if people took small flashlights to help take pictures.

Appreciated! I saw the picture of all the masking work they did there, too bad they didn't put a mirror there so people could see it.

Yeah Cessna, I've always wondered how close I got that detail on my 5.5 footer... Would be nice to see for sure, maybe the Resto folks could share some insight/pics during painting. (We can dream, right?)

I wonder what they were supposed to represent too?
On the remastered series, in Operation Annihilate, one of them is a satellite deployment door. Hard to tell exactly, but I think it's the long rectangular one. There's all kinds of fun theories about the other ones.

Ok. I've got a different camera so I should be able to do something with it. As of now, 9:37am, I'm going to be taking requests again. Cut off time will be around 11:20 am since that will be 10 minutes post light up.

Current Requests:
- Anything from the bottom of the Hull
- The Plaques
