Wondercon is already out of Anaheim. They announced this year that, due to the expansion on the convention center, it will be moved to Los Angeles.

The Anaheim Convention Center expansion will be done in 2017, San Diego has SDCC through 2018.

I nothing else, Anaheim may provide a space for SDCC to move while San Diego figures out an expansion plan they can agree on/pass.

Personally, I wish Wondercon would come back to San Francisco. The Bay Area hasn't had a decent convention since it moved due to our own stupid convention center construction. But I know that's not likely to happen.
