Iron Man MK6 Foam Build (1st build, pic heavy)

whats up, the RPF!!! I have been browsing these forums for quite a while, gathering info on how to make my own suit for halloween/conventions..

i finally got around to making one, it took me about a month. i used JF custom's foam files for the entirety of the suit (the foam files modified from robo3687).

EDIT: im missing a few pictures (like how i got the eyes to light up, things like that, etc) ill add them once i have them.

anyway- here we go!!!!



legs and shoes built out of 5mm foam.



abs built out of 6mm foam, then coated with 1 layer of modpodge and 1 layer of plastidip



gloves of 3mm and 5mm foam



back of 6mm foam




chest piece done with 6mm foam and then coated 2 layers of modpodge

helmet with 1 layer of modpodge!!!

the neck piece- a layer of modpodge then a layer of plastidip and finally a layer of red paint



The legs done!!! I used a layer of modpodge on everything, then a layer of polyurethane resin, and finally some paint.

Great Build!!!

Looks great! What kind of polyurethane resin did you use? Did you pour on or brush on?
Also, what color spray paint did you use? I really don't feel like spending $5 per can just to test out colors.
