Guardians of the Galaxy Orb and Display - 3D FIles in First Post

Hi everyone! RPF member EIN was kind enough to share his 3d printable Guardians of the Galaxy Orb as well as other items (http://www.therpf.com/f78/star-lord-w-lights-sound-3d-print-files-infinity-orb-base-progress-221724/). As cool as his stuff is, I wanted to expand on what he already has made. I rendered the parts in Autodesk 123D using my iPad and exported them as an STL. I have included links to each part that you can freely download. The only thing I ask is that if you choose to make these objects, that you credit EIN and myself for creating the parts. Aw man, this looks incredible. I've made a bunch of these orbs and was wanting to do something like this for display. Now how to suspend the stone in midair....

Got the hardware. But found out the base is too small
Printing up a larger one right now

Hah, I still have that reference image as my wallpaper. The claws are cool as hell!

Fishing line is one way to suspend the stone mid-air. I couldn't figure out how to also get it lighting up without visible wires, so if you solve that one, I'd be interested to know. Best way I could figure was to make a very small LED assembly with coin cell batteries and a magnetic reed switch, and then cast that into the middle of the Infinity Stone... and just stick a tiny magnet on the back of the stone when you wanted to turn it on and off. Only problem with that whole idea is what to do when the batteries die.

Now you can! I added the links in my first post to download all the parts. You don't need to scale it so long as you use EIN's orb from thingiverse

Anyone able to 3d print the outside and inside of the orb for me? Ein hasn't been around and I was hoping to be in on his run but that's not looking so good before my local con happens... sad face.
