M40 & M38 Tank Telescope Conundrum

Just wondering if anyone has come across the tool that was used to unscrew the lenses from the M19, M40 or M38 telescope.

Was it simply a pin wrench or spanner wrench or a specialized tool.

My issue is I have a M40 Telescope and it's missing the big lens at the large side of the scope. I have a M38a2 telescope that has everything. I want to swap out the lens from the M38 and add it to the M40.

Anyone do anything like this?

You can get a watch makers tool for this, they have two paddles which are adjustable - though name escapes me sure if you trawl ebay with watch maker tool you may see one.
