Rhode Island Comic Con

Anyone going?

I was planning to go just to see Barbara Eden but it looks like she's not appearing (she's no longer on the guest page). I had also planned to go to the Boston con to see Kate Mulgrew, but she canceled

The only other actor I'd like to see is Colin Baker, but since I'm already 0/2 I may give this year a pass.

I'm stoked for RI this year. Last year was my first time at the con and I really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to Michael Jai White, Neal Adams, Ken Hunt, and Mike Lilly

I'm glad I didn't go. Their facebook page was blown up with angry comments from attendees who got stuck outside in the rain when they exceeded the convention center's capacity and weren't let back inside. Eliza Dushku's Louis Vuitton bag was stolen when she was checking in at her hotel and apparently Colin Baker got stranded at the airport for 2 hours waiting for his ride to the con! (The cops found the bag and at least one of the culprits and Baker did get to the con in the end.)

People who got in and stayed in reported having a great time. Those who popped out for lunch and couldn't get back in were much less happy.

I read that this was the largest convention that's ever been at the Rhode Island Convention Center in its 22-year history! Hopefully logistics will be handled better next year.
