Here is my replica of the robot bird from the Tom Baker story 'The Pirate Planet'. He is made mainly from plywood covered in aluminium sheet. Unlike the original, he is radio controlled (as far as turning his head) and he lights up. The last couple of pictures show him with the original prop in the background. I have painted mine darker than the actual prop because that is how it appears on screen for some reason.

Polyphase Avatron couldn't help feeling trouble was coming. He looked one way

Nope, nothing to be seen but he was sure something was sneaking up on him.



Still, at times like this, he would always think back to those dark days of hanging around with the Pirate Captain and remind himself of the one important thing he had learned from that experience.

Polyphase Avatron was always a serious critic of literature, though some believe he only reads Parrot fashion.
