I have been working on my chimp tunic and pants for a little while now, and have finally got it sewed together, and have the chimps glyphs ready to go on to the shirt. To make the glyphs, I used Monster Clay, which I rolled into a thin layer like a pie crust, about 2 mm thickness. I cut the template into the clay to get the relief, and then smoothed out the edges so they look like embossed leather.I made a mold out of Ultra-cal and then latex rubber for the finished pieces. Now I need to find a suitable glue to stick latex rubber to the faux-leather tunic area. I will post pics later. Can anyone recommend a suitable glue? I have had difficulty with glue not sticking to the faux leather.
