Well hello there. I know all your eyes are probably tired of starlord builds, but c'mon it's starlord, right? This mask was made from 80's tech. And by that I mean it was made with party poppers, pvc pipe, cardboard, clay, and bendy metal wire. The only thing that was not from the 1980s was a cheap iron man mask I paid 3 bucks for. And that was also the only thing I didn't have lying around the house. The ipod case was made from a mix tape I found, some cardstock, and a cheap case I bought 2years ago. I'm only 14 and can't afford high quality materials so I make do with what I have. I have yet to finish the back of the mask. Oh and yes I do have Hooked on a Feeling on my ipod. 20140828_205954.jpg1409276125326.jpg20140828_210325.jpg20140828_210357.jpg20140828_144428.jpg20140828_205954.jpg20140828_210027.jpg

Here's a short demonstration video. The back of the mask has yet to be finished.

Hey guys. Sorry for the double post, but I forgot to mention that the lights on the mask were made from dollar store led sunglasses. They were cheap and work pretty well in the mask. The back of the mask will be made with a childs bike helmet.

It's been a week. I finished the whole helmet and started a gun. I'm also debating whether or not to make a 3d printed version. Oh well.1410216426258.jpg1410216574223.jpg1410216827680.jpg1410216983372.jpg20140908_183837.jpg20140908_183830.jpg

I just would like to say this thread is not dead. I recently got a guy to 3d print Ein's helmet file. I also am printing my own bag fabric. I will upload pics soon. Till then, adios.

It's not the best method but I mixed green, gray and yellow acrylics with water to get the khaki shade I wanted. I then took this junkie fabric and submerged it in it. Once it was dry, I began work on the pattern. I modded Zlurpo's file and printed it out on iron on transfer sheets. After ten minutes of ironing, the paper successfully transferred the image. Like I said, not the best method, but it gets the job done for dirt cheap.
