Iron Man Mark VI foam build

Hello everyone! I first posted this thread in the whitearmor forum, realising that it is mostly about star wars, so i thought i post it here aswell
Hope you guys enjoy!

So i have been building this Iron Man armor for about 2 weeks and i thought i would share it with you guys.
If you have any questions i will gladly answer them, and if you have any opinions about my work feel free the share them here with me as i appreciate all comments, tips and so on..

Anyway, here it goes:

Materials used: (so far)
Sharp Scissors, EVA-foam gymnastic rugs, Velcro, green lenses and a glue gun with some glue sticks



I used a program called "pepakura viewer" which allows me to print out the armor in paper, cut it out with scissors and then use them to create armor parts out of foam, the pepakura files i got just by googling "pepakura iron man foam files".. simple as that!





And like this i started on my journey to make all the parts for my armor

Amazing, I really need to figure out this pepakura stuff. How do you make it fit you so well, trial and error re-scaling or is the file made for certain dimensions?

Thank you! The file is made for a certain dimension, although the program "pepakura viewer" allows you to change the scale so that it will fit you better. The original scale was fine for me though

Zeroface: thank you so much! The suit took me about 3 weeks (about 50 hours) to make. If you should decide to make one for your son i would love to see some pictures of the process

Great build Folders I'm another one that's going to make my boy a suit, though I'm very tempted to do something for myself! lol Was this your first build?

Wow, that is fantastic, I have had a go at making armor too, its my first build, I also used foam and made my own arc reactor our of bits of plastic and LEDs etc, please see the video I made of the process if you want to know more, I would like to have a go at the process you used one day, when I have the time!!!

This is a sweet suit!! It looks really similar to my first foam build at http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=251384&p=3831496#post3831496. Foam is really a lot cheaper than using fiberglass and bondo
