Guardians of the galaxy starlord jacket

The amazon jacket has slider buckles on the arms rather than the belt buckle type used on the jackets and 99% of the replicas currently available, aside from that it is the same jacket. I suspect that the jacket you actually receive with have the belt style buckles on the arms and what the photo is showing is a prototype before the slider buckles were changed. EDIT: No wait, on closer inspection the clamps are just open in that pic. Yup, it's the exact same jacket!

I think that all of the jackets, from all the various sources currently use the same pattern, based on screen-caps fron the trailer and production images.

It's a nice jacket, but not accurate to the movie in many ways - a decent close-enough, inspired by the style of etc. - I like mine, but I am using it as a regular jacket rather than a costume piece.

I imagine we we see some far more accurate replicas become available for costuming in the near future, now that people have lots of great reference images to work from.
 
Is the quality of the Fjackets piece nice enough to wear as a daily jacket? That's how I was going to justify the purchase to the wife; I could wear it around as well as use it as a costume piece.
 
Be sure to read the descriptions as it looks like the FilmJackets/FJackets has both synthetic and real leather versions in the descriptions on Amazon, but there is no real leather version listed on the FJackets' site that I can find.

Most the FJacket's site and the Amazon descriptions for the FJackets say it's "High Quality Synthetic Leather" which is definitely not real leather, of course.

Another brand, Samnas Trader, says it's made of genuine sheep leather in the description but its pictures look like they are taken from FJackets' site.

It looks to me that the FJackets are all synthetic leather most likely.
Has anyone gotten a real leather Star Lord jackets from FilmJackets/FJackets?

I didn't think of this when I bought mine, I just took the one on their site. Also I'm not really familiar with leather and how to tell it apart. But my jacket smells weird like leather and the label inside say "Real Leather".
 
Hi I was going to order mine from fjackest soon. But those link I see that all the measurement are different. If I use the size chart from fjackest I would be a medium but those other links I would be a large. Is the size chart accurate on fjacket? And is it real leather? As I don't want faux leather
 
I emailed fjackets about wanting the real leather and not the synthetic leather version and said while they don't offer it on their site anymore they do offer it on their ebay account and sent me the link. I had to pay for shipping but in my mind it was worth getting the real leather, especially when they had a 100% money back guarantee as well as 100% feedback. The account name was erise I believe.
 
I ordered my jacket on August 6th and still have yet to receive it. I have tried contacting the company via their home office in Chicago, IL but to no avail.....no response. I have a shipping receipt claiming it shipped August 7 from Norway!!!

When I purchased mine it was $189 and that is what I was charged so I am assuming it is leather. I saw the price drop to $149 and called them out on it (See Definitive Star Lord thread) but the price was changed back to $189. Now it is back down to $149.00

How long did it take some of you guys to receive your jacket??
 
I have a genuine leather Star Lord jacket from fjackets. it arrived very quickly, I think it only took about a week from Pakistan to my doorstep in Alabama.

It is a quality piece. The fabrication is very good and it could easily be worn on it's own.
 
I think that the confusion is fjacket site is stating it's synthetic leather. Was it real leather before then they change it?
 
Yes. They used to offer both real and synthetic leather. It was only a few bucks more, so I chose to go with the real leather instead of the synthetic.

They had both materials available recently, they may have just run out in the past few weeks.

I saw that what your talking about. Was 189 then 149 then 189 then now 149. Chicago IL. I thought fjackest was in San Diego Ca per there Web site ? I sent them an email hopeful I hear back soon
