Another prop from GOTG, which of you is already in the U.S. today will be able to see it, I will have to wait until October 22: (
However, this time it's the turn of Drax the Destroyer and his daggers.

I started obtaining the shape of the blade and the handle with forex from 05/64 "

Then after a long work to your PC, thanks to the laser cutter I carved decoration on the blade and carved wood decoration of the flange of the grip of plexiglass.

Now working on the flange
To decrease the thickness of the plexiglass, I glued the decorum of the flange on a piece of styrene from 01/64 ", and then I poured in a bit of resin.

This looks great! Are you planning on selling castings of the daggers? I'd be interested in a set if so.

I made a new flange for the Daggers Drax GOTG, bigger and with a design more accurate to the original, the other I admit I had copied from someone who had done the daggers about a year ago, which I think is are untraceable.

While waiting for the handle is finished, it is working my friend, I would not be able to sculpt such a complex thing, work proceeds on the blade, it is almost ready.

Great post and tutorial. Do you feel these daggers are tough enough to put in a boot and walk around without them being broken?

At the moment I can not tell, we'll see when I make the first copy, but the structure is very solid and difficult to break them, the only problem may be the tip that will break easily.

I used the old flange for a test on the texture, excuse the pun :), to try to get that sand that is on the whole handle.

Your daggers are looking great man! We're working on a set as well and totally missed the top inlay for the hilt. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Marvel has made public the pictures of Props officers GOTG, so for the third time I had to redo the flange daggers Drax.
Now, however, is perfect.

Here are three versions to compare

Then I also had to thin the top of the blade, since there are no pictures had made it very thick.

While waiting for my friend complete the handle, I'm going crazy to make the decoration of the flange has the details so small, that even with the laser cutting is difficult to get them.

I also did a test there with the red color of the decor to see how it is.
