This is my attempt to make a movie quality costume for wizard con and the movie premier.

Fist of I got my jacket



Then I got my cassette player and guns





Then I decided I wanted better guns



I didn't much care for the color so I painted them




Got to work on my boots




Some trial and error

But this is what I have so far use say 70% done on the boots

(Used the other boot for a holder)
Got some black tactical pants ( sorry no photo yet)
So I have my mask coming from l.e.props, need to finish my boots, and maybe make a power gem


This is one of my first cosplay so will see how out goes

What's the first set of guns that you got? I've seen the Nerf ones before, but not the smaller ones.

Everything is looking good so far! I can't wait to see it all together!

Looking good! About the guns: It looks like you used Krylon paint that's no intended for plastic. I've been tempted to get some of it because they have it in colors that are very hard to find in paints specifically for plastic. How well does it work on those guns?

I got the nerf guns from target and the little ones from eBay

Now the headphones I got from some random site I'll have to look for the link

And the paint I sanded the plastic a little and put three coats of color and clear coat and it works great took about 4 days tho lol

Yeah I do but it's on my mp3 and phone I don't have anything to transfer then to s cassette lol

How the HECK did you do the carbon fiber look on the grips of those guns?

That's molded into the toy, though for an even better look you can use a carbon fiber vinyl wrap like IronManiac did in his thread:

Well do to unforeseen circumstances I will am in the market star lord replica mask if anyone as any suggestions i would love to know. And if they are putting them out before August 1st that would be awesome.

ill keep a look out. That really sucks. only good thing is you could go without one since he doesn't always wear it, but I know it wouldn't feel the same. It looks awesome so far. Thanks for the info on the headset, I got a pair. I bought a walkman with the same basic shape as the movie and Im going to fill in some lines on it and airbrush the letters and stuff on it for my sons costume. I can't believe that walkman for the movie cost $250-300 even if it doesn't work!

Yeah they are going a little crazy on that walkman I got the next year up with all new parts and am fm radio for $50 plus shipping lol and I think I got a lead on the mask but we will see

Awesome deal on the walkman, I was pretty sad because I was bidding on one like yours on ebay and I got outbid the very last minute yesterday. It went for $29 plus $10 shipping, but I was at work when it happened. Good luck with the mask!
