SNG studios Daily video

No I didn't but then again I have seen it one too many times.

Long time no see. Well on Labor day I worked on the slot car track. It may look the same to those that don’t find it too interesting but a lot has in fact changed. Lots more trees, weathering, more work on the buildings and more trees.
The Speedboat shuttle craft is ready for decals on their way fromhttp://www.jt-graphics.com/default.htm
Do yourself a favor and go look at Jeff’s site. He has some amazing things there like Bad Azz models, decals and more.
Until the decals get here I’m back to the big Enterprise tomorrow. I’m going on a Marathon to finish her.
More tomorrow. BTW as soon as the decals are on the Speedboat the complete video build on her will be available fromwww.patreon.com/SteveNeill join us and become a subscriber and have access to all our content. We will have a new films series of shorts coming soon as well. More on that soon.

OK! Back to the Enterprise and this stuff all gets seen for free in the weekly show. We started it off for free and we'll finish it that way. Im hoping to finish up this model in the next month. I started today by building a little tiny captains chair. I got it blocked out and tomorrow I'll paint it and add the burke chairs. That should finish the bridge off.

I got the bridge itself dome yesterday, but now to finish the structure itself. I will paint the hull the right color. Add windows and the rooms behind them, and the lights of course. We are going to move fast on finishing this build since I have freed up a lot of our time on the other models. I’m still at the Cooper bit by bit doing the scribing detail and should mold that next week.
The COM badges are for our www.patreon.com/SteveNeill subscribers. They will star going out next week folks.

Forgot to mention we found these scratch built shuttle crafts made for us by a modeler on the RPF 4 years ago. I thought they were lost and if you are reading this please chime in and tell me your name so I can give you credit!

Posting from the iPad ...oh boy. The bridge section is finshed, windowed and lighted. I just need to light block it from the inside a bit more. It even has the correct hull color on it. So next week I'm going to finish off the entire saucer section.

More work on the Enterprise. OK for those of you new here it's 66 inches long. Scratch built and this one is being built for the Museum of science Fiction in Washington DC. This is the second one I have built.
Got all the rooms in the saucer section and much of the lighting. Some in the engineering section. I'll be hooking up the VooDooFX NAV board tomorrow some we'll have the blinking red and greens. So much to do still but I'm putting a dent in it. Another two weeks and I should be close to finish.

Resistance is futile. ;)

More and more work on this big model and it never seems to end. Eliot's dome almost fits but now that I have sent him a picture with Calipers showing the size we will have it. But as you can see his dome is optically clear. More lights. Rooms not in yet and as usual the camera over exposes the lights. But you get the idea. More tomorrow,

Excellent episode this week, Steve. I really enjoyed it. :D
I have a general question about mold releases, if you can't obtain ZIP mold release or equivalent, could you use ordinary vaseline instead?

Thought Mary was posting the last videos. Here they are.

First thank you. And yes Vaseline is great and it's great for cast silicone against silicone as well.

We have been very busy on our new dramatic series for the web called, "But Something is There". I'll be sharing with you more on this project soon but we will be back to our regular show next week. In the meantime I have been building this for myself. Oh and this creature for the show. A trailer for the series will be posted shortly and we have and FB page too if you want to join. Oh and I built the Bride of Frankenstein model for Halloween.
