New BMF coming

Just a quick heads-up,.....as you guys probably are aware Bandai have released a 1/48 AT-ST model kit,.....it comes with a Chewie figure:

I'm no expert in scale conversion but our mate Scratchy posted a comment on my thread on 'Keeper of the Force' site that the Hasbro Hero Series Falcon was 'O' scale,.....1/48-1/50

So really that hopefully sorts out getting a Han Solo to fly her...... as there is an abundance of pilot figures out there,....but not really many Wookiees:D

My AT-ST has been dispatched, so I should have it this week

This now has got me thinking about the cockpit

Looks really nice!!!

Many thanks for sharing!

As I am waiting for the Randy Cooper Resin/PE kit I thought I work a bit on the Cockpit. Started to apply fiber optics to the back wall of the cockpit I got from Tony/Shapeways
Not to bad I think, the parts from Tony are just amazing, fit and finish!.
.
Did a short vid https://vimeo.com/120825215

Many thanks for sharing your feedback Captain!!!

My parts look wonderful with your excellent detailing work. With the fiber optics and the paint job the back wall looks impressive!!!

Can I use you shots please?

For lighting the white panels, maybe you can use some fiber optics with little cuts along it, to let the light go out on these cuts. Like on the BMW cars tail light. :D

Cheers

Of course Tony go ahead. Planning to rig up 2 LEDs behind the wall tonight. I will post some more pics when i get it done. Feeling a bit lazy today :p lets see how much I get done.

Just a quick question, sort of on topic, but does anyone know if the MF and X-Wing are it for the Hasbro Hero line or are they planning to release other large scale vehicles? Just curious.

From what I have been following on the toy collector sites, there is no word on follow up items like those. However, if they are planning something for SW 7, it might be tight lipped. There also might be more products announced during Celebration and usually SDCC. There have been some generic product lists of upcoming SW 7 toys but I do not remember seeing anything in the description or price that would suggest such an item.

Hasbro reps interviewed have hinted that there will be a large vehicle release soon, most likely for figures and rumors suggest it may be the Ghost.

There is in fact at least one Hero Series Vehicle listing on Hasbro's Episode 7 release date document. Could just be the MF with a new dish, but I'm optimistic they wouldn't be so secretive if that was the case.

Is this the list you are referring to?
http://www.rebelscum.com/story/front/Hasbro_The_Force_Awakens_Product_Rundown_161773.asp

I see a hero series vehichle assortment, but not a single vehicle.

Same list. I read this:

"Star Wars 7 Hero Series Figure Vehicle Assortment"

as sounding like a couple of HS vehicles being released at the same time, possibly as a case assortment. I admit, on reading it a second time, it's a little less clear than it seemed the first time I read it, but still seems like a reasonable interpretation. What do you think?

Any news/updates on this PhotoEtch and Resin Kit for the engine vents? I didn't see it on the Starship Modeler site. Looking forward to getting this, as well as their engines, for both the Hasbro Falcon (also not out yet) and the Fine Molds 1/72 kit.
The bits are on their way as of Friday. Things just took WAY longer than I was hoping. Dangitalltohell!!

I also have a couple of main engine options coming (both designed with lighting in mind, or not). I hope to have images of those later today for you guys. I think you are going to like. :D And, just to make my life MORE complicated, I will also have both these options for the MPC Falcon, and one for the Fine Molds (1/72) Falcon.

Oooooohhhh.....pretyyyyyyyyyyyy! Dang, I may end up scrapping my resin grills altogether. Looking forward to see what you've worked up for the engine too.

Thought i would share with the forum. This is my first completed Hasbro Falcon conversion. Pretty simple; Only two Shapeways parts (Nose cone and radar dish) Sidewalls are MPC kit bash. It took first place in Sci Fi Space Ships category and Best Overall Sci Fi today at VallyCon in California. 640 models entries 140 Sci Fi entries. It was an amazing day. I owe a vote of thanks to this forum for all the great tips.

My next one will be a hero with fully acccurized sidewalls ala Tony Z, fiberoptic cockpit, and gun turret

Great job, Mojo! Just goes to show how good the HasMilFalcon looks with even just a modest update (though I expect it was still a bit of effort!)
