King Arts International Limited - Marvel Licensed Products and more

I have a classic Captain America Shield from King Arts not the heater shield. The quality is pretty good. Some minor paint imperfections.

I did order the IM2 Arc Reactor with swappable Palladium cartridges. I cannot recommend this as a buy. The wooden box is much nicer than the arc reactor. However, so many issues with defects and quality overall. Starting with the box. Internally all the stops that support the palladium cartridges had all broken off either from shipping or because it wasn't mechanically secured. On the top of the box it looks like a repair was attempted to one of the depressions and is a darker stain vs the other depressions. There was a chip out of the wood base. Now for the Arc Reactor. The website touts a metal reactor and this is all plastic except for the cartridges themselves. The ejection of the cartridges was one of the main reasons I was sold on this, but it sounds like a worn out cd drive. I really felt like this was slightly better than a Hasbro Iron Man toy. The carrier for the arc reactor is also all plastic. The construction is so simple that it makes me wonder why it isn't AL. The box alone is really nice minus the defects and repairs, but alas its just a box for the cartridges so it seems like a big miss when the rest of this replica is not to the same standard of materials. I'm now in the process of returning the IM2 arc reactor + box.

Hope that helps if anybody is looking into buying the IM2 replica.

Ive got the Classic as well and my paint job is really good.

Sorry to hear about the lack of quality on the arc reactor box. Hopefully they improve their QC going forward. I'd rather gamble with King Arts then wait five years for EFX to sneak/release new products.

I can't complain about the shield it's awesome! The materials feel really great.

Yes, and somebody just missed the QC on the arc reactor.

If any of you have picked up or had ordered any of King Arts' products, you probably already know that they usually come in huge cartons and boxes (like the shields did).

Check out Budget Stark's ordeal when he went to pick up his 1/4 scale Hulkbuster charger!

Part 1

Part 2

That is freakin' insane!! That's one disadvantage of ordering some props in Hong Kong, King Arts do not provide any delivery service and you have to go and pick your orders up yourselves from their shop. It's the same deal with other hobby stores/companies, like Hot Toys. Imagine making two trips just for this one statue/charger...

Wow that is nuts! And yes my Classic shuelds box is Massive. It takes up a lot of closet space. Still planning on getting the original though!

Some cool pics from King Arts' Facebook page of some upcoming products:

Here we have the 1/9 scale War Machine from AOU. I guess it's the same suit that will be used in Civil War?

And it looks like they're getting ready to ship their 1/9 scale Hulkbusters as well.

Sorry for the late comment, but your pictures look pretty good. I guess it's safe to say that all of us has had the same issues with the final paint finish on our shields. There are a few splotches in some places where it seems the final coating of sealant wasn't applied properly or whatever, leaving little streaks here and there (though in my case it's not too noticeable)....

Anyways, more news from King Arts:

So some pics have surfaced on their Facebook page for the Tesseract cube in the containment tube as seen in the final scenes of the first Avengers movie. The container itself looks good with some nice details. I don't know if it's entirely film-accurate but it looks pretty good nonetheless. I don't really like the way the cube glows though. Hopefully, they will improve the lighting later on before its release. It will cost HK$1,950.00 for each piece.

Man i think it looks awesome! If only i could afford to buy these things....i had to save up a lot of money to buy the shield. I even ended up asking my family for some money until i can pay them back because i cant find a place to work....that went a bit off topic..but do you know when they are going to release the tesseract?

The heater shield is estimated to be out in the third quarter of 2016. The 1/1 scale Ant-Man helmet is estimated to be available in either the second or third quarter of 2016. They didn't provide a release date for the tesseract but I would guess maybe sometime at the end of the year or even in 2017 since they haven't started the pre-orders yet.

So King Arts will release the Chitauri sceptre again but this time it will be with the stand featured in Age of Ultron.

There was mention that the design has been tweaked slightly and from the pictures on their Facebook page it looks like that unsightly battery case cover has been rectified, or the battery housing moved altogether. A nice additional feature is that the base lights up as well. No spiffy holograms though...

This new design may work better for those with limited space at home, as the smaller base is better than the longer one of the previous model. Everyone has their own preferences of course.

HK$3,700.00 (VIPs HK$3,500.00)
3rd - 4th quarter 2016 release.

Amazing...

The 1/9 scale diecast Mark 6 should retail for HK$1,216.00.
The moving gantry retails for HK$1,881.00.
They mention a "Luxury Suit" version of the Mark 6 that will retail for HK$2,830.00 but I'm not too sure what that means. Perhaps a bundle of the Mark 6 and the gantry together maybe.
Again, 3rd - 4th quarter of 2016.

King Arts is releasing 4 different full scale arc reactor replicas, expected Q3 delivery, priced around $60 each plus S&H (about $100 shipped for US buyers). What's nice is there'll be some diecast used to give this better weight.

I preordered the Mk42 version from IM3, looking forward to getting this and will post impressions when I receive it later this year. The details inside the arc look pretty nice. The product pic has the arc upside down when mounted on the stand, not sure if it can be mounted the correct way, but not a deal breaker for me.

EDIT: KG Hobby responded saying the Mk42 arc can be mounted in any direction.

Great price considering that I got a plastic one for $100 bucks before. Is the whole thing made of metal (as in both the stand and the arc)?

KG Hobby's page says it's made of both diecast and ABS. I'm guessing the arc will be diecast and ABS, and the stand is probably all ABS. I highly doubt it's mostly diecast, probably just enough to give it a nice hefty weight.

Here are some pics from King Arts' Facebook page showing the die-case parts in each reactor:

They look pretty good, but we might have to wait and see if these are any better than the Iron Man 2 gimmick reactor they had before. At least these look like they don't have any dark spots in their lighting...

EDIT: Looks like just the base of the all the stands shown above is die-cast as well, though it's funny that the base for the first arc reactor doesn't match. the picture. Also not sure if only the first one comes with a case.

The Captain America helmet from Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Not sure if this supposed to be the helmet from the WWII suit from the museum? I kinda' wish they made the stealth suit version instead. I'm sure the colors are a little more subdued in that one...?

To be released 4th quarter 2016 - HK$1,880.00 (HK$1,000 deposit needed)

No that's supposed to be the "stealth" Winter Solider helmet but with a Age of Ultron, Civil War paintjob (and the blue is indeed too light for TWS).
Looks like they went overboard with texturing and the leather parts look pretty cheap.

I've seen better Cap helmets here asking about the same price. Not only is the texturing too much and incorrect, but that A emblem is also way too big.
