I found a very short series called Spider-Man India that I fell in love with, so I decided to make the costume!
I had the suit designed by the amazing Orhadar, and printed by FabricOnDemand.com
Because this suit was much simpler than a normal spidey suit, I decided to do the sewing myself. I bought a serger and got to work! It was definitely a learning process. In hindsight, I probably should've sewn the two sides of the mask onto the sleeves first, because the sleeves were hard to sew on later. Oh well, lesson learned!
Mask and torso finished (minus the arms)
Test fitting!
I finished up sewing on the arms and cut the front-flap into shape. I forgot to get pictures of this
Next up I had to make the shoes! I bought cheap pair of knock-off toms from PayLess and made a template out of newspaper
Cut the pattern out of a bit of test spandex to see how it looks
Looks Great! Now I cut it out of the excess red webbing I had Orhadar put on the print file, and pin it to the shoe. I then used a curved needle and hand-sewed the spandex onto the shoe.
The last part was buying some white cotton fabric for the sash and just wrapping it around my waist over a pair of white sweatpants. DONE!
