2 weeks after moving into their new apartment:
BD is still building his Hit-list and their arsenal, the next installment will provide funding for CRAZY stuff (like jet packs :lol )
According to the making-of book BD has every weapon you can imagine, so I used some artistic license and added a compound bow and crossbow (they were there and handy). I don't own many guns so they were a mix of real and painted airsoft. My daughter loved the crossbow, so I might have to write in a place for her to use it in another film.
I can't believe I spent 14 hours putting that set together for only 90 seconds of footage. :facepalm :lol

This installment is almost complete, unfortunately we have been slowed down a bit (see below)
:lol On a more serious side some of the shots we filmed just didn't do it so we went back and shot them again, and I'm glad we did. We've also been trying to get some exteriors for part 3 filmed since seasonal changes are a factor where we live.
Next post part 2 finished.

I just finished the 33 page comic book version of our 2nd film. I pull screenshots, add speech bubbles and "sound effects", then arrange them panel style to get printed.
We're filming parts 3 and 4 back-to-back, I doubt I'll have time to get anything edited together until fall since this is my busy season (farming). Currently I'm repainting a car metallic purple for the Hit-Girl Mobile, and teaching my daughter to clutch and run the gear pattern on the stick (no...she won't be driving! ) Since Mark Millar has now seen our fan films (and liked them ) We are raising the bar a bit for the next 2.

You have to get past the team to see the boss...
I can't say enough how kind and gracious Mark Millar is, stuck around past the signing time to make sure everyone in line got to meet him, and had his crew line-jump us to get a group shot.
I guess I don't have to worry about getting a CD on our fan films. When my daughter told him her life would be completely different without Kick-Ass his response was priceless...I won't type it here because I'll likely be using it for a line in our last film.

thats wicked! i really hope this pulls through, i loved the comics, and even though alot of people dont like the second film, i really enjoyed it. wish the characters lasted longer though...
