Greetings,
I'm planning on making my first helmet mold. Ill be making two separate molds instead of making one mold in two separating parts. The reason why I'm doing this is because I originally cut it in half to vacuum form, but didn't work out. So instead of gluing back together, and bondo-ing and all the work again, I'll jsut make two molds.
So my question is around how many pints of mold material will I need and how much casting material will I need. I know it's impossible to give an exact amount, but around how much, with extra to spare.
It's just a regular sized gundam helmet. around 10"x11" at the base. I'm planning on using Smooth-on OOMOO 30 for my mold and Smooth-cast 300 for casting materials.
I couldn't find a tutorial about how much pints they used.
