I used the Krylon fusions paint it's a latex based paint, and it is much darker now that was taken literally right after the first coat was applied that's why it appears so bright and wet.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to do the armor? I've been pondering for a few days now and I can't figure it out.

you could always go the foam route which is pretty sturdy and yet still flexible.

I tried foam I just can't seem to get the hang of it. Not to mention there arnt any pep files for that armor.
