Need tutorial for cutting in the Knee and Elbow pads on Struss leathers

I got my Struss leathers, and all the assorted knee and elbow pads, did anyone document how they cut and installed the pads permanently into the leathers. I need some visual references or a tut from someone that has been through it so I don't botch the job.

Can someone who has a screen used suit confirm whether or not this is actually how the pads attach? I'm not seeing definitive evidence in any of the shots I've seen.
