Building a Vacu-form machine. Advice welcome!

Hi all,
A student and I are going to build a 2'-0" x 4'-0" proto-form vacuform unit, and I'm wondering if anyone else out there has made one and has any advice.

I know Volpin props did a video featuring one and I saw one in the background of Adam Savage's beaver box and ZF-1 videos.

Any input is welcome and thank you in advance.
