Original series BSG breather mask on Ice Planet Zero; found object?

I searched, both here and on the web and I was quite surprised there was nothing on this cool mask prop.
Anybody have any info on these?
 
So would I! What confuses me is the faceshield (that kind of plexi is tough to do without presice specs). That was obviously made to fit the mask. I just find it hard to believe that this didn't start from something.
 
I've wanted one of these for years! I had kind of written it off. I seem to remember a few of the model kits named at some point but I can't remember where. Maybe over on ASAP.
 
Yeah I think ASAP was where all the parts were listed.

Once the parts are id'ed the only problem I see is makin g the faceplate everything else should be easy
