Pristine condition, amazing detail, lots of features, and yes, "It came from ebaY" (buy it now auction - 400.00 even) :)

When it arrived I was pleasently surprised by the size of the prop. It's freaken huge! More pics to come.

I believe the original had a screw every inch all the way around the periphery. But on screen, the prop was flush with the panel it was mounted in and you never saw the sides.

I think the maker says it's copied from original specs. Here are some more pics.

The ebaY sellers listing started with: "You are bidding on a excellent Hal 9000 replica! I purchased this nefarious "computer" about five months ago, and he's been on my wall ever since".

So it shipped to him 5 months ago, and two weeks ago he listed it on ebaY, which is where I purchased it.

Sad to think this run of these might have been funded by money from this board from another run here that members here are still waiting for delivery of their Prop

At least the electronics in it are TOP NOTCH/QUALITY! :)

too bad there is/was trouble with the 'maker' of the Panel itself (Artifactory did NOT make the electronics inside.. you can see the PlecterLabs 'logo' on there..(thats who made the electronics for it)

The piece overall is GREAT!.. and something I wish I could add to my collection! :)

Artifactory per se didn't 'really' have anything to do with the construction of this replica.

These were / are produced by Steve (SD Studios / now Artifactory owner). The only 'new' thing with this one is that Artifactory logos have been placed on it.

So 'technically', the income from these now is Artifactorys', not SD Studios. Just a play on the wording is all it is.

Steve outsources most of his electronics anyway. You will not find any electronic board made from scratch by SD Studios or Artifactory.

Having said that, yes, they are indeed gorgeous.

A great 2nd hand purchase Clyde :thumbsup

Yeah it's nice but I would never own one. Every time I look at it it would remind me of a member that I used to respect so much, but now...now I would trust a stranger before I trusted him.

more dangerous than that!..
you'll just lose your money!

do a search, this guy/company has a pretty long rap sheet for what I am basically going to boil it down to theft.

(and I sooooooo wanted one of these too!.. I think there was another version? after this one? one without the plecter labs electronics?.. I could be wrong though.)

I always thought he came off as a hot-head back then and I never did any business with him.

I'm referring to his non-licensed offerings, not when he was with MR.

I would lock someone outside of a spaceship for one of these. If ever there were a run of these I would be the first in line!
