Need a little help from those that have built capes..

I was wondering if anyone had an idea to pull off the look of how the capes are attached in Amman of steel style/ like how it is in the new 52 superman suit. I saw a tutorial in regards to how to make a cape, but it was more a reeve suit cap, which is nice, but I like how the cape has that somewhat squared end where it connects to the suit. I'm just unsure as to how to cut a semi circle for a cape and have that attached look to it. Any help would be much appreciated.
