From FOX's 2017 film showcase:

LeonBrill: About to see the entire first act of #Logan

LeonBrill: Well this movie is definitely rated R #Logan

LeonBrill: #Logan just stole the show. Incredible.

LeonBrill: X-23 absolutely steals the show. Best X-Men character since Deadpool. #Logan

Fandango: We're about to watch the entire first act of @ WolverineMovie! First 40 minutes!! We'll be back...

Fandango: We only watched the 1st act of @ WolverineMovie, but holy cow it's some of the best stuff we've ever seen from Wolverine. Absolutely terrific

Fandango: And yes, @ WolverineMovie embraces its R rating tenfold. The action is bloody, brutal & ridiculously badass. Be ready, #Wolverine fans!

ErikDavis: I loved every second of what we saw. It's different, it's brutal, and the girl, man. It's all about that little girl.

i never saw even the trailers for the wolverine movies.. so this is my first.

how do these fit in with the days of future past timeline? it looks like not at all.. since xavier looks tired enough to be dead and you don't see anyone else but the two of them.

Also, is this X -23 character the female wolverine everyone was raving about as another round of gender switching characters? or is this something totally different?

i don't know.

i never was into ultra violent action movies. so i guess this looks ok. but if the kid is going to be so psycho as to be non relatable as a character, i don't really see the point.

It's in the future of that universe. Most of the mutants are dead except for Logan and the Professor.

This happens 1 year after Logan wakes up in the changed future of DOFP...Now how it got to this point in a year I hope will be explained.
