Re: Space Cowboys ship, Battle Beyond the Stars PART ID HELP NEEDED
Hey Joe was looking at this thread and saw that post about the J-5 engine. I was going through the thread to see if anyone knew what they were when I found your post. I knew right away. I have one in the stash I was about to go looking for it when I saw your post and had found it. That is for sure one of the more obsicure kits I have seen used in a space ship bash. The Sprit is one of my favorite planes have always wanted to build one and use that engine.

Making some progress! About 75% of the parts are accurate. There's very little reference except from the BluRay/DVD. There is a 1/48th Tiger I part that was found yesterday and will be updated later. On to the rest of it.

Cripes--- every time I see the Space Cowboys ship... beginning of the subj header, I think of the space shuttle model that got passed around at ILM for ref/boards...
Re: Space Cowboys ship, Battle Beyond the Stars PART ID HELP NEEDED
After a couple of years trying to figure out as many of the original pieces as possible, my build of Space Cowboy's ship from Battle Beyond the Stars is done. Thanks to Joe Brown for starting the idea (he's still building his but not far behind), Gene K and Ron T for the help and contact with Dennis Skotak, and Kevin Hand for the 3D parts (the engine ends). Not the most glamours ship but I remember it well from the first time I saw the move, so a good subject for me to take on.
That's fine, fine work! Its great to see somebody put that all that sheer effort in. I've really got a lot of affection for that old film, and you've definitely done the Cowboy proud.
