Hi, I'm a newbie here. Just want to share with you my first prop - captain america shield made of old satellite dish and cardboard.

old satellite dish

cut it down to the maximum size I could get out of it.. (which is smaller than the intended size of 25")

added some cardboard onto the dish to make it bigger

the star

few coat of fiberglass resin on the front and fiberglass mat on the back for reinforcement purpose

apply bondo body filler and sand it. and fill it again, sand it.. until i get a smooth surface

Final product..
Not as good as what the experts here did.
but after all, satisfied with the shield..
