1/6 resin iron man mk4

just got the chest part to paint,i ran out of the gold undercoat.

the arms are done and the head and neck,the hands,chest and head will be lit but the chest might provide a challenge..

yes i am a bit of an iron man fan,i have also done a resin mk7 but i have stripped it down to the resin again to repaint it correct colors,more on that when i have started and done most of the work.

managed to get the torso painted today,fyi its alclad pale gold with trans red onto.


hopefully weather permitting i will get the gold detail done and finished later today.


i roughly assembled it for the photos,theres more work to do,once finished it will have to have the lighting sorted,i ran the leds to the hands already.

the mk4 in my opinion is the far better out the mk4 and mk7,the mk7 i found had a lot of casting flaws,the mk4 didnt seem to have anything major flaws wise.the mk7 does hjave a better base and a more dynamic pose.

might grab me the mk3,undecided.

weather was fine today so got the gold detail parts masked and sprayed,the 2 shoulder bits that are located on the back i have to respray as they are a tad bit too light compared to the rest of the kit.

but i did install and connect all the lighting for the kit,the left hand does not shine as bright as the outstretched arm,in a way its good as it gives the sense that the outstretched arm is powering up for a shot.the chest clear part could do with a misting as i have just put an led that i sanded down on some cut down styrene and hot glued it in behind the chest opening.

the phone camera makes the leds look like they are realy more brighter than they actualy are.

then there is of course the base to sort,will spray it alclad meatallics,steel,chrome,silver.
