The Lone Ranger

Just thought I'd kick off the inevitable Lone Ranger thread.

I watched a short video about the creation of the mask and they talked about wetting, heating and forming the mask on a plaster cast of Hammer's face. Has anyone done this and do they have any tips on doing this successfully?

Thanks,

Mark

I don't see any markings regarding type. 10x beaver felt, size, and Stetson markings are all that's on the hat. Haven't checked your link, but Resistol has the license for Stetsons.

I would love to see some pics of that hat Tyger!

Do you happen to have a badge as well? I'm considering the Neca version, then modifying, but I'm not sure if it would work (engraving might not work on it).

Edit: looking at the Seneca, it doesn't look like the right hat to me. Even tweaking the brim and crown doesn't seem like enough. The Seneca looks more cream colored as well.

Radioman, based on the description of the mask from you, sounds like it could be leather, but I might
suggest Fosshape, a plastic-ingrained fabric that hardens when it gets heated.
