On TV tonight: 'In the Flesh' offers a zombie twist

Even though it takes liberties with the classic zombie lore, the premise seems interesting and I want to see how the characters play out while blending into society.

Watching this now. Neat new take on zombies calling it "Partially Deceased Syndrome".

I thought the plot developed the standard zombie genre by looking at the aftermath of such an outbreak.
With a partial cure for PDS (Partially Deceased Syndrome) people are integrated back into society with family and friends.
The series focused on three individuals who were sent back to their community after treatment. Communities that were decimated during the outbreak and left with little to no government help are told they must welcome back the “enemy” and continue with their lives.
As to be expected the residents are very uncomfortable and hostile with those who returned.
I enjoyed it.
