re: Bond 24

Not a compliment.

Well, I thank you anyways. It's reassuring that despite the utter annoyance of most of the replies I get, I still don't dedicate entire posts that points fingers at people and laughs. I'm just someone with an opinion who disagrees with you.

re: Bond 24

I had no problem with the writing in Skyfall, or Gladiator, for that matter. Looking at the guy's IMDB credits, he's got some good films and some stinkers. >shrug<

As for the Bond experience I'm looking for....basically as close to the books as possible, which I think we got with Skyfall and Casino Royale. QOS is tough to call, since the editing so overshadows everything else. (And yes, I know he didn't write CR or QOS.)

re: Bond 24

Can we see Gemma (Strawberry) again?
In the past, same girl was playing in two different movie, why not Gemma?
I really love to see her again.

Hm...so Diana Rigg would be the top of the list?
Can we play best 5 bond girls? Has this been played before?

re: Bond 24

- Diana Rigg (because she's DIANA FREAKIN' RIGG)

You are CORRECT Sir! ;)
:thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :cool I remember having a bit of a crush on her when I was VERY young, but when I re-watched OHMSS recently I was SMITTEN :D ! I can't imagine anybody coming close to knocking her of the pedestal I put her on as the BEST Bond Girl ever (funny, 30 year old women do seem like girls to me now!):lol Certainly not Penelope ;) :lol

re: Bond 24

Nothing Wrong With Penelope Cruz, that chick can peak at me any day she wants. Only down side right now is that she will need to get back into shape from pumping out a kid. So, i don't know if she will be ready in time or they might look at her for the one after 24. Also Rachel Weisz was been rumored for years, even before she married Criag. Plus she wants to be a naughty girl in the movies. So She could still be put in the movie(s) I thought Skyfall was done very well. Seeing all the movie over a dozen times I laughing at the inside jokes during Skyfall.

Jill St. John was great. Diamonds forever was not too shabby of a movie.

Grace Jones is not a bond girl..Cant say she is a girl either. Grace is a Beast of something not human. Roger Moore quit after that movie with her. Dude said they cant pay me enough to forget the horrors. Dude still checks under the bed to make sure Grace monster is lurking there.

Most A/B actress do suck in the movies lately. The ones that have a little history in other movies before tho have been great. Eva Green was perfect in her role.

Top 5 Bond girls?? Hmm..I'll be back with my picks.

re: Bond 24

A few years ago (and before Skyfall went into production) there were rumors of Rachel Weisz being the head of Quantum, which I thought would have been interesting. Even without her, I rather hope they do something with Quantum before Craig is done, especially since they spent two films building them up.

It almost seems like everyone is treating Quantum of Solace like it was some unmitigated disaster that, under no circumstances, should ever be referenced to or followed up on. Sure, it wasn't a great Bond movie but I wasn't offended or annoyed by it. I actually liked the "continuing" storyline from Casino Royale and felt that we've barely scratched the surface in dealing with Quantum. I always liked the re-ocurring evil organization than the stand alone bad guys because they carry more weight to Bond in general.

(P.S. I am SO getting a Quantum pin at SDCC in July.)

re: Bond 24

Didn't they basically bust most of Quantum by the end of that film? Only seen it twice, so memory might be crap. I do remember thinking the end sequence at the hotel in the desert was a horribly contrived way of inflicting lots of explosions with little collateral damage.

re: Bond 24

As I recall, they busted the guy in South America who was running the scam, the guy who got Vesper killed, and the contacts for the guy who was running the Quantum scheme in the first film. We have no idea if there are more out there, as far as I can recall.

I wouldn't be surprised if they return to Quantum eventually, perhaps even referencing how this or that instance from previous films were connected.

There's definitely more of them out there. They're the ones that took out Greene at the end.

re: Bond 24

Yup, They only busted up little fractions of Quantum. Took out the money washer in the 1st one. 2nd movie they took out the plans to caputre the area of the underground lake of water. Mr. White, the guy that seems to be a high ranking member of Quantum has gotten away at the start of the 2nd movie. Gotta be a high member to have M's personal bodyguard for years break off his role to save Mr. White. The group is all over the world and has a hand in just about everything. Most the guys that have been killed are nothing more than grunts really. Mr.White kills Le Chiffre and frees Bond. Mr. White told Le Chiffre that intel is more important than the money. Dead man tell no tales. please bring the group back please

re: Bond 24

He escaped with the help of a double agent at the beginning of QoS. Later, when Bond crashed the Quantum meeting at the opera, White was the only one who stayed in his seat and wasn't pursued. That's the last time we see him.
