Whew, ok so I've been slowly working on this for the past month and a half now. Still chugging along on the Dwarven armor for my other half. The Nightingale armor is for me. I've patterned it out and have started to cut it out of foam and vinyl.

I'm making the Dwarven armor out of EVA foam. These are older pics, as I've completely cut out new pauldrons and reshaped them to dome them up better.

I've pepped a Dragon priest mask and I do have the file for the Dwarven helmet....it's gonna be a while as it's 29+ pages and VERY intricate -_-.

Didn't take a pic before I started filling in, but I covered the cardstock in about 4 coats of resin.

One paint layer to see what needed to be filled in better.

Primed and sanded/filled a little bit more.

Base coat. Still debating which color mask I want to go with!

More soon! I had to stop for a while to work on other things. Starting back up this week!

So after taking a week and a half break, I got back on the armor making wagon :p.

Decided to go with Volsung for the Dragon Priest mask, as the Rustoleum Hammered Copper spray paint I got for the Dwarven armor looked exactly like it. Still have to age it up a bit with black paint and what not.

And Nightingale progress. Mostly pinned in place to get a good visual.

Bit of an update!

Nightingale armor 50% done:

Started the Nightingale bow out of EVA foam. Couldn't find the thick dowel rod I though I had for the handle...ended up using cardboard tubes filled with expanding foam.

Nice build! I actually built a set of Nightingale Armor with the Nightingale Bow myself. Quite a project. Your set is looking fantastic. Can't wait to see your Dwarven Armor progress and Nightingale finished.

I love Dwarven armor, can't wait until it is finished. When you finish could you provide a template for it? I might even, if you will make one for me, buy a Dwarven armor set depending on the price.:)

Sorry Ebony, but am never making this again ;)...It's been a surreal pain and I haven't kept any of my templates :\.

Progress update!

Made latex high elf and Bosmer ears!

The helmet is coming along slowly but surely. Trying to get this done for DCon this year. Should have these all painted and finished by the end of the week!

Waiting for alot of pieces to dry! Working on finally finalizing the helmet for the first coat of primer today. Also sanding and adding bits to the Dwarven War hammer.

Side pauldrons:

War hammer, using a T pipe as a base with EVA to plug it up...gotta love Lowe's!

Almost done with this beast...saw some pot holes as I was doing detail painting and had to fill them -_-

Gotta get this done today as I've been working on this for the past 4 months.

Looking amazing! Excited to hear you'll be at DC again this year. Hope to see these in person. That helmet right now almost looks like it's a real, aged relic (in a good way!)

i don't think i've actually seen a built dwarven armour yet, so i'm looking forward to seeing it all together. looks pretty great so far, definitely going to be following this thread!

Attaching velcro and elastic to different portions of the armor! Here's the chest and leg armor complete.

Dwarven War Hammer:

Made from a wooden dowel for the handle, pvc T pipe for the top portion which was then outfitted with EVA foam, foamies and air dry clay. The "rivets" are spare acrylic jewels I had lying about. The bottom of the handle is a resin measuring cup I heated up and formed, then filled with hot glue and stuck it on the bottom :p. It was the only thing I had lying about that looked like it -_-

Should be doing a photoshoot at the end of today! Found a good location for it at a lock and dam not far from where we live!
