UltraMan Beta Capsule replica/prop

I recently acquired this prop from eBay. It's not the Bandai toy and it is not the $1000 working replica. Does anyone recognize this item or a craftsman who made it? It is a non functioning piece. I believe it is some kind of metal.

Might be one of my old pieces. A number were offered in kit form so who knows who built it up; retired them about 10 years ago or so.

i knew i shouldn't have just let that thing lay'n around....some one took it and sold it on ebay. just kidding
