Hiya fellow builders. Just recently, I finished my AMT tin box enterprise model for the up coming Star Trek film, Star Trek Into Darkness. I can't wait for this movie! So, in celebration of the film's release, I wanted to build another star trek ship. But this time, out of cardboard and some of cheap materials. The 2009 (or into darkness) Enterprise is absolutely gorgeous to me. let me know what you guys think of my build so far!

Recommendation: use masking tape. Trust me, I kid you not: it will help with edges, smooth seams, and provide a consistent finish for you.

Alright! JJ enterprise and cardboard...u got my attention mate... I will be following this build :)

Looking good so far.

Thank you for the recommendation of masking tape. I have used it before when I did a cardboard build of the classic enterprise, it worked okay but I prefer using Coke boxes. It's thin, its really flexible, and if used correctly, it will look fantastic. I have an update coming later for this build, and it's coming along beautifully. Thank you guys for checking out my build :)

Back with some updates. Nacelles are gonna be the next part I'm gonna build but, I'm wanting to see if you guys have any ideas how to achieve a clean cardboard tube in a slight funnel like shape.

so...Here are some pics!

Thanks for checking in :).

Hey guys! Back again with another update! This build is coming along nicely, I ended up figuring out how to make a warp nacelle (only one in the pictures) without being overly complicated or ugly looking due to cardboard crinkling. I got the impulse engine on the back of the saucer, I got the deflector dish mounted, and the saucer glued on.
