i agree
the more you look at them after seeing the 1989 and the 2011 release, you can how poor they are in the top section and in many other areas.
the bits that are the most frustrating errors are these (in my eyes anyway)
front toe taper at midsole. totally incorrect as like the first knockoff (on this second knockoff, will be a mission to fix, because the actual soles are now painted and textured, so if you add anything to them, you will probably have to spray paint the entire midsoles which is ridiculous)
the actual grey toe area is too much like a boot. even if you just reduce this bit, the toe section will still look poor due to the terrible midsole tapering off which lacks the correct height.
back of midsole heel is far too high. this could be fixed by simply chopping them down.
bulging lace area, dont know what the hell they used, but they stick out and seem too fat, and the actual laces seem to be 14mm, slightly bigger than the recommended 12mm.
crappy upper section, lacking in a few cm of height, and the innacurate shaping at the top. Still has the Mark Poon feel to it which is to be expected, since its an evolution of that shoe anyway!
i can totally understand that if you haven't studied or even looked at the originals in detail regularly, that these knockoffs can seem very enticing, but in reality they are still totally innacurate, and in the most basic of places which could have been avoided.
