If those are real I could get on board with those looks. I'd prefer a few more hard edges to maintain the old school look, but I'd definitely take those.

That is awful. People bash the EU, but they didn't do that to Stormtroopers.

Not blasphemy at all. I think if SW had had the budget and modern production capabilities that we now have, THIS might be what the original helmets looked like.

Looks better than the clone troopers in the prequels.

Personally I love the new design, nothing stays the same over time so you have to expect changes. You can't please everybody.

Let me be the first to say that the nose area is a bit too ironmanish...

Mainly needs a chin divot/vocoder and ears...

I like it... But don't LOVE it yet...

So... Who's working on a kit already!?!?!?!??? LOL.

If the stormtrooper helmet had to go through any changes, I really can't think of how it could be better than this. I like it a lot.

    And this.

As for today's budget and tech vs the 70s, I think the smooth lines of this new helmet would be easier to make, no?

Based on this one photo, I like it. Very reminiscent of the Original Trilogy Stormtrooper helmets, but a bit more streamlined. I can't yet say I like it better than the Original Trilogy version though; that will have to wait until I've seen more (and the rest of the armor).

The helmet is a bit too stylized for my taste. All details in the original helmets looked like they were functional in some way.

Keep in mind, this is ONE photo. My take is that these are actually for more real-world "functional" than the originals.

I want to see this thing from every angle...

Mainly the chin and other side...

With only one "mic tip" does that mean that the other side is just rounded and closed off?

    Idk...

I feel like it needs a recessed area "vocoder" chin like the originals.

This iteration kinda looks episode 2-ish in the chin area ...

    Iron man nose...

I'm liking it more as the hours go by... Though I'm still not "in love" with it...

But I have to admit, I am accepting it with a lot more ease than I did the ep2 troops...

I must say though, IMHO JJ is still on track and continually giving me new hope!

Maybe after the letdown that was the PT...

We should call ep7: the old hope?

(What we've been hoping for since 83)

I've had a few whiskey drinks...

    It made sense to me...

    Move along.

It's really starting to grow on me. Nothing will ever take my love of OT stormtroopers away but this is a great start.

i'd be willing to bet there's another "mic tip" on the other side. we're only seeing one side.

    Betcha there isn't.....

Well then this aughta get you.... This is a real Stormtrooper for Episode 7.

Since a different pic was already leaked, my insider friend is letting me leak just this one. See the difference?

Now then, are there any doubts that I have seen the other troopers and Solo's wardrobe? (and other cool things)
