Does anyone know if there is anything you can add to industrial rubber latex (the kind with amonia) to speed up the drying time? or make it a bit thicker? I'm wanting to do a quick carnage suit for a buddy like this one

but i feel like if i just drizzle big gobs of latex on, it wont dry fast enough or have that same effect. any advice?

Hi M16, I have never had cause to thicken latex, but to make it dry faster you can hit it with a blow drier on hot. You could also try Coast Fiber-Tek Products in Burnaby, they deal in liquid latex and smooth-on products, there may be some answers on their web site. FYI I do not work for smooth on or coast, just a suggestion. There are also places like the monster makers and other mask and special effects sites. Good luck, this sounds like a cool costume to make.
