How to paint gelatin prosthetics

And again a question from me:

What kind of paint do you best use to paint gelatin prosthetics? Since it are rather small pieces I would prefer using either grease or aqua paint. What is and what isn't possible?

Thanks!

You can paint gelatine with aqua colour, thinned down, best thing to use is an alchohol activated makeup, washes of colour is better on gelatine

So, just to be sure: I can paint it with aqua color, just have to thin it down with water enough and add them in washes until I get the intensity I like? Does it help sealing the piece up with pros-aide before applying make up?
