Hi All!

OK, you are going to have to sit down for this one!!!

We are getting ready to start to ship the TIE Fighters!

As with the Vader helmets, i am now looking for 6 volunteers who have a confirmed pre-order with us, who are shipping their TIE to an address in the US and can pay the balance due to receive their TIE Fighter early.

This is a production unit, the only difference is that there is no printing on the master carton. Before we place our order for the master cartons, we are testing the integrity of the packaging.

If you are interested in participating in this program, please email us at TIE@eFXCollectibles.com. I will then select the 6 customers who have the earliest pre-orders. NOTE: The order of the pre-orders is the order that the pre-orders were confirmed by the credit card gateway, which may not necessarily be the same as when the "BUY NOW" button was clicked. I will continue to accept requests until the units arrive from Asia some time next week. There is no set closing date, it is simply the date that I receive the TIE's.

Even though this is an actual production piece, it is a test of the packaging. So, we will pay the shipping cost for you!

Thanks and please email me at customerservice@efxcollectibles.com if you have any questions.

Bryan

Fantastic news, I wish I had a pre-order on this. It's also nice to see the RPF get in on this offer.

Bryan,
If you do shipping test for your packaging, you should also do international test (with free shipping cough cough) :D

Nice to hear these are shipping!! They're beautiful!

Personally, I wish there was a kit of this. I prefer that feeling you get knowing you built and painted it.
Glad to see efx came through with these!

Well mine came today. According to FedEx tracking it was to come yesterday. Glad I burned a personal day to stay home and wait for it. It also said signature required and it was left on my porch. I'll take some unboxing/setup photos tonight after little man goes to bed.

John

Received mine today as well.

Bryan - the ship arrived in perfect condition. Packed extremely well. Thanks again.

I snapped a bunch of photos using my phone as we're in the process of moving and can't find my camera, grrr!

Hopefully John will post higher quality pics.

You're pics are much better than mine. :) Here's what I posted on RS.

Okay here is mine. Please excuse the pics as it's dark out and the room has no light.

My impressions:
Overall love it. Nothing beats that paint smell that hits you when you open the box. It looks great. I couldn't get over how big the wings were.

The wings are tough to get on by yourself. At least it was tough for me as the wrench that came with mine was a little tight in the nut. (hehehe) The covers for the nut are a tight fit. I doubt they'll ever come off again. I hope I never have to store it or heaven forbid sell it.

Mine spins on the post. Not too crazy about that. I checked and it doesn't look like it can go down any further. (hehehe again)

I had a small bit of damage on the back part/battery access compartment. You can see it in the pic. If Bryan can hook me up with just that part that would be great. You can also see one of the nut covers came loose in shipping and is just laying in the box.

All the tiny parts and panel lines are crisp and clean. Great ship. Now on to the pics.

I have to agree with the spin on the post. I believe much of that has a lot to do with the screw going into resin versus threaded metal. If you stomp into a room this model would rattle for sure.

Other than that I'm very pleased!

Awesome shot with your X-wing! :thumbsup
