No, I just don't have the time. Besides, the star is much larger on this than the real thing, so it won't look the part anyways. I'm happy with the paint job, etc. I need to focus on the rest of this build. lol

Small update. I have most of the suit done. Still need to add bicep straps, paint and grommet base belt, install some snaps/velcro in some spots on costume, etc. I also need to paint on my wings and do the leather straps of helmet. Here are some pics.

Another update. Still have to make my helmet liner, finish up bicep straps, cut strap in back to length, and some other small misc things... but here are some updated pics. :)

oh mama, looking really good!!!! Looks like we are operating from the same base suit. I was worried about the white stitching in the legs but it looks just right in the pics. Keep the updates coming big guy!

Ha! Rikarus, it won't be the exact same suit, I had them make lots of tweaks to mine, included putting zipper in back of white rather than front, added gray edging along back blue flap, etc... many more... and the stich lines have been dyed, etc by me. NOt much is the same as the base suit, I've made all new leather components, I mean literally nothing is the same. But yeah, I've really tweaked it into the state it is now. Everything has changed, straps, hardware you name it.

I hear yah brotha, I trashed the entire white/gray shirt and made my own, and tore the pauldaroons completly apart and built foam inserts and restitched to be closer to SA. All straps are being reworked in leather, hardware replaced as well.

If I may ask what did you do to dye the thread lines? They have been a big concern of mine, and I want them not to stick out so much.

Hey guys... necro-bumping my own thread here.. lol...

I've decided for MegaCon this year to do the M1 helmet he wears on the Bucky Rescue with the costume above... I though it would be a cool hybrid... my question for you guys is...

What other straps, do I need to get, what search terms? There seems to be the default strap to hold it to you head... then a chin strap with cup... and also something that wraps along the front lip of helmet...

Here is the helmet I ordered... I need to know what else I need to buy... any Rescue costume guys chime in if you can...
