SS TIE Fighter: Buildup of Nice-N Models Hero Kit

Thanks, Richard! But, wait 'til they get a load of yours!

Most people didn't know this, but this buildup was the first "model" I'd built since I was a teen. And I was 39 years old in 2006... :eek

Just goes to show, anyone can build studio scale! :lol

This gives me some hope, I think I was about the same age when I built my last model! :lol
I've just bought one of Lasses X1 Vader Ties and hope I can do it justice.:love

Hey Allan, I was just exploring this thread when I noticed in one of your pics sitting on a shelf in the background slightly out of focus was a stop-mo armature, me being a stop-mo fan what's the story on that?

Hey Jim, took me a minute to figure out what you were referring to. This pic:

That's actually a desk lamp I picked up about 4 years ago. Seemed like a bargain at $20. It's reasonably useful for its intended purpose, but I always thought I might want to do something else with it, eventually.

It lives out in my shop, now...

Oh wow, that's really cool, it looks like you could use it as an armature if the joints are adjustable. Speaking of armatures, I just got your Taun armature in the mail so I'll be starting yours soon!
