Boy, it sure is sweet.
I haven't seen the film yet (me & Stromo & the boys this Sunday!!!:thumbsup)
I'll tell you what it made me think of, and it clearly uses the design with a completely different fabric, but the shoulder/collar parts are definitely influenced by the old Swedish Army motorcycle jackets:
Again, they didn't alter one of these, I used to have one and they're made of an incredibly heavy cotton canvas.
Janek's drapes way too easily to be that fabric.

i saw a image of a leather one that looked pretty sweet, would love a leather one but google failed in finding any online for sale

I guess this is also known as oilskin (oil impregnated canvas) which Aussie company Driza-Bone use in their products.
BTW, do you have a link to that jacket?

It's not as close, but the material does look thinner and it's a pretty cool jacket.

be nice to see the flight deck crew uniform and we could try to make a list of what the jeckets and pants are

Hey guys, Sorry for necromancy but... After watching Prometheusfew times, serching through web and making screenshots I'm ready to make almost 100% screen accurate Janek's jacket I have plans, sketches and fabric ready to cut out and sew it all up, Only thing I'm wondering is the prometheus logo (the blue one with stars and guy with wings) It would be helpfull if someone here has one that is movie accurate and ready to print? There are some over the internet but only close to the one in the movie.
