That particular type of Mags will be not re-released i.e. the ones without Power Laces. I know it's a cop out excuse based on technicality but it's still valid.

Most people who paid high prices knew it was cause the money was going for charity. They can voice their displeasure if the Power Laces version will be released, but most hopefully won't hold it personally against Tinker if Nike do release the Mags with Power Laces.

They could have just waited until 2015 to do a mass release and get way more money than they did even if the shoes were only lets say $300. A portion of that goes to charity. Even with a percentage of it going to charity the money they would have from the sheer number of orders would more than make up for it.

I had seen their regular version on ThinkGeek last year and wondered when a BTTF version would get made. It's finally here.

NeoLev Back to the Future Part II miniature Hover Board set (Limited Edition Signature Series) [Arriving May 2015!]

"The NeoLev Back to the Future Part II Miniature Hover Boards (5 included) with Dual Track operates on the principle of Diamagnetic Levitation. A special black acrylic base contains a special array of magnets (aka, "track') which creates a repulsive force against the pyrolytic graphite board allowing for levitation at a height proportional to that depicted in the movie. The track has a slight bend akin to a half pipe allowing the boards to oscillate back and forth for a very long time. And the boards have excellent lateral stability. Two (2) boards can operate on the dual track simultaneously. It makes for an incredible desk conversation piece. Wheels not Included.

Sporting laser-engraved signatures of filmmakers Bob Gale (co-creator/producer) and Robert Zemeckis (co-creator and director), as well as John Bell, graphic designer of the hover boards, the Signature Edition series includes all five miniature Hover Boards depicted in the 1989 sequel Back to the Future Part II, and is limited to 488 individually-numbered units available exclusively from BacktotheFuture.com."
