Well maybe I can make it up to you with more pix. :lol

:lol All is forgiven. :lol

Thnaks for pics of Klingon Comm and the other TOS stuff.

Curious -- I've seen the Klingon Comm posted on ebay recently and it features a different grid, grid attachment detail and different inside controls...presumably taken from blueprints that were drawn using an original TOS prop as a reference. Does ANYBODY know any details on this piece? The Klingon comms posted on ebay do not seem to have the proper grid/hinge mechanism, at least not one that matches the screen grabs of the catual prop that are posted in this thread...which obviously leads me to wonder if anybody truly offers a Klingon comm that matches what was actually used in the series.

This is such an obscure piece that my guess is there is never going to be any light shed on this particular prop, but if anyone has any info, would love to heoar it.

I was asked for some overall shots of the Trek display.... basically there were three display cases, and behind that a forest of mannequins.

The rightmost case held TOS artifacts... the middle case had a lot of replica-TOS stuff (I recognized "Trials and Tribbleations" style TOS re-creations, even a Master Replicas TOS tricorder.). The rest of the middle case held TNG, DS9 and Voyager props, some built by Max Cervantes.

The lefttmost case held a replica Vulcan Lute (the "playable" one I believe), a fight Bat-leth, and some other items.

I think Karl needs to be given the official title “RPF Photo Documentarian”, I’ve seen more cool stuff from Karl’s camera just this month than I’ve seen in years anywhere.

CanÂ’t thank you enough for sharing. :D

Wow.

The Walking Tribble is in one of the cases.

Now I REALLY hate Greg Jein. :lol

That's what that is, I thought it was a 3rd season Shatner hairpiece. :p

Really can't stop coming back and looking at these photos, I find something new I missed before everytime.

Not to get off topic but who saved all the costumes and props from the show ? Trek was still considered crap when it was cancled in 1969.Does any of the cast have anything I know Nimoy has a pair of ears from the show and from the films .

aljf :confused

So if the Cage comm was repainted again for That Which Survives why does it still have the Spock's Brain paint job? Does anyone know? Just curious.

Wow. These are fantastic.

Do you have any better shots of the WOK Communicator?
Was that the real thing or a replica?
Any other OS movie props?

Also, what's that "larger hypo" to the right of the med pouch? I can't tell if it's a hypo or a dagger.

I can see a Space 1999 suit in the background, is that an original?

Any other TV or movies represented?
[/b]
WOW. I didn't even notice that till you mentioned it.

Jimmy Doohan had at least one Tunic as well as his Kilt, Nimoy had more than one pair of ears and I think George and Walter kept one of their Tunics as well.

A lot of the crew kept things as well.

The Space 1999 spacesuit is original, it's one of Barbara Bain's costumes.

There were a lot of replica costumes over in that part of the display, I think the other 1999 costumes were replicas. There was a rack with a Devil's Tower jumpsuit from "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" and a TOS Battlestar Galactica tunic, among others. I don't know if those were original.

You mean if man evolved from apes, why are there still apes? :lol

Actually it's a fair question. Possibilities include, there were several cage comms and different ones were used for the two episodes; possibly the modified Cage Comm from Spock's Brain was cast in resin, and that's what we see in "That Which Survives" (Spock's calculator prop is opaque, so you can't tell if it ever had embedded electronics parts from a cage comm... also it could just be a casting from the same MOLD as the cage comms).

The WOK communicator in the case appears to be identical to the kit that CaptJTK sold awhile back.

Interestingly another prop in the same case, the medical dealie from WOK, I'm told was the real thing. McCoy used it on Peter Preston. It appears to be some sort of viewfinder.

The "larger hypo" is some kind of wooden mockup of a hypo. I was told it was a "stunt prop".
