Guess who's going to Toys R Us in about 10 minutes :love
[/b]

I just got back :D Hit Toys R Us on my way back from Jason's Deli. Total lunch break: 48 minutes. That's 12 minutes I get leave a little early to start blasting things :thumbsup

The Nerf-Morita :D . Not sure what kinda colors I am going to paint it, but it for dang sure isn't staying yellow and blue. Hey Matsuo, where is the grip on the forward blaster? Does it fold up? I haven't looked at mine yet, still in the box till I get home.

Simba, you aint' kidding. I thought the same thing.

OK, so we need to find out who is designing all these cool nerf guns. They need to be given a membership here - unless they already have one. :lol

I too was wondering where the grip went, figuring Matt chopped it off.

Nerf Nite Finder

Yet another cool looking one that needs a good paint job. Think they are targeting another market than kids?

thought i'd remind everyone of this thread, was just ace- and as the english summer seems to be shining on i thought it was high time grown men once again ran around parks shooting foam darts at each other and any passing children-in style.

i'm thinkin of getting a maverick or the rev (?) firefly glow in the dark thing (that would be good for nights out.). seen some great maverick paint ups here, anyone do one of the other??

nerf is awesome-awesome to the max.. (my only regret is that i have bone-i-tis)

I started painting Nerf guns a few years ago around Christmas when the Maverick, Nitefinder, and the N-Strike stuff came out. Since then I've been collecting older Nerf guns from Goodwill and Ebay, intending to paint them when I get the time/inspiration. Here are some of my favorite paintjobs.

This one is a WIP. Others on forums like Nerfhq and Nerfhaven have done fantastic things with the Longshot, paint wise, and I think I've been intimidated into indecision over where to go from here.

I've posted a tutorial on painting Nerf guns here, but I expect everything I covered to be old hat for you folks. http://www.tinhnerf.com/phpBB2/kb.php?mode=article&k=45

The Longshot breaks down into two seperate guns. Someone did a mod on it a month or two ago and I ran out and bought one. I have a couple cans of black and OD green and I am just waiting for inspiration to strike :)

If you're referring to the stock, Bizarro, it doesn't normally come off. I removed it to properly paint the gun. Otherwise, yes, Ghadrack is right. The front of the gun twists off and serves as (horrible) separate blaster.

Are you doing Captain Slug's shotgun-cocking mod, Ghadrack? I'd like to try that myself sometime.

I've only modded my Longshots for range, so far. Add an extra spring, remove the air restrictors, and you suddenly have a very, very unsafe toy. 70 feet, fired flat, with the 'stock' darts. I'm certain custom darts would give me better results, but I suck at making them. 9,9 All of mine tend to pause in midair and perform a drunken Irish jig before falling to Earth.

I hadn't even seen the link above or any of the real internal mods, I am going to have to make mine dangerous too :)

I was going to do a purely aesthetic repaint with a few minor external mods on the bipod and barrel, No I need to read up on how to make it more powerful, my interest is piqued :)

I just picked this one up. This is my first attempt at anything like this. THe only other thing I've ever made was a lightsaber. I figured it would give me something to do while the wife is away for the next few days. Thanks for inspiring me. :)

well, it seems that the uk toy market is no need of nerf..
woolworths, toys r us, entertainer, argos do not stock any nerf stuff other than the odd vortex ball.

did find some knock off (ish) pistols in toys r us but no nerf stuff, gonna have to hit the bay.

You're certainly right on that one, pretty much none to be found on-line or in-shop in the UK.

I have to say I lucked out and found a couple of Mavericks in a local Store but nothing else. I'm trying to get a Longshot from the US but it's living up to it's name right now and proving to be somewhat expensive for a "Kiddies" toy. Even asking through the NERF sites (NERF Haven and NERF HQ) is proving pretty fruitless, Doh..... :eek

Roughneckone :)

Ok I primed mine last night and it didn't go so well. Anybody know the best way to remove the primer? I don't have an air brush so I had to use a spray can. I'm determined this 5 dollar toy will not get the best of me. :)
