Favorite Sports Themed Movies

As the Ravens get ready to play the Steelers today (and win), and I have been watching some of my favorite sports films today.

Some of my favorites...

Rocky I -A Great underdog, story. Kinda makes you believe anything is truly possible, if you have heart.

Victory -An unsuspecting enjoyable film. Besides who does'nt enjoy seeing some p.o.w.'s beat some wartime Germans?

The Longest Yard (Original Version) Classic.

Brians Song- If you did'nt cry when you saw this, your not a man!

North Dallas Forty- Alot of good stuff in this one.

Anyone else actually into sports here, and if so...what are some of your favs?

Directed by the uncle of one of our members.

I have a 16mm print of the movie as well.

I laughed when they shot Old Yeller, but cried like a baby for this one.

And Bull Durham is a terrific movie.

Rocky, The Waterboy, Longest Yard (Remake), Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Sandlot, Benchwarmers, Space Jam, Blades of Glory, Kickboxer, Bloodsport, Over the Top, Dodgeball, Tyson, Big Fan, White Men Can't Jump, The Karate Kid, The Wrestler, Raging Bull, all I can think of for now.

One of Paul Newman's best comedies! Gotta love those Hanson brothers! :lol
